Water has a way of finding every weak point on a home's exterior. Old or failing gutters, rotted fascia boards, and damaged soffits are some of the most common culprits behind water intrusion - and the damage they cause rarely stays on the surface. This Brookline property needed a full exterior drainage overhaul, and that's exactly what we came out to handle.

We installed new seamless gutters and downspouts from scratch. Seamless gutters are a big deal because they eliminate the seams where leaks typically start. They're cut to fit the exact length of each roofline run, which means fewer joints, fewer failure points, and a much cleaner finished look along the roofline edge.

The fascia boards and soffits were also part of this job. Fascia takes a beating year after year - it's what your gutters actually mount to, so when it starts to rot or pull away, the whole drainage system loses its integrity. Soffits, meanwhile, protect the underside of your roof overhang and play a role in keeping pests and moisture out of your attic space. Getting both right matters.

This is the kind of work that doesn't always get attention until something goes wrong. But a properly installed drainage system - gutters, downspouts, fascia, soffits all working together - is one of the best things you can do to protect a home's structure long-term. We're glad this Brookline homeowner didn't wait.

Properties in older, established neighborhoods like Brookline often have charm worth protecting. Making sure the exterior is properly sealed and draining correctly goes a long way toward keeping that charm - and the structure behind it - in good shape for years to come.
